A boutique adventure accross the Great Indian Himalaya

Ladakh to Kashmir Overland Journey | 16 Days | Departs Delhi

Magnificent trekking in unrivalled mountain scenery…

One of the best ways to experience the stunning panoramas, rich history and Buddhist culture of the Indian Himalaya is by travelling overland.

With roads allowing access to some of the remotest parts of Ladakh for only four months of each year, this expedition will cross high mountain passes and traverse rugged landscapes to explore a stunning wilderness punctuated by ancient monasteries, prayer flags and rustic villages.

From Leh, take in the splendours of Shey Monastery, Thiksey, and Hemis before journeying across the world’s highest motorable pass, the Kardung La (5359m), to the remote Nubra Valley. Backtrack to Leh and then continue by road to Kashmir, one of the most beautiful regions of the Himalaya for two nights on-board the eco luxury houseboat moored on the mirror-calm waters of Dal Lake. Experience the uniqueness of life on the lake underneath the unforgettable vista of the Pir Panjal range.

LADAKH TO KASHMIR HOTELS

The hotels you will stay in on this journey have been hand-picked for their central location, local cuisine, outstanding service and, most importantly, their authentic character and charm. Where possible, the standard is 5 star or ‘heritage’. Heritage hotels are usually old forts or palaces, which have been converted into luxury accommodation, offering the most authentic experience with modern amenities.
