You'll visit 4 of the 7 Aeolian volcanic islands, each with their own distinct character, scattered in the sparkling Tyrrhenian sea just to the north of Sicily. While Lipari is the busiest and most populated, and Stromboli, one of Europe's most active volcanoes, smokes constantly on the horizon, it is Salina, quiet and green, with its slower pace and traditional lifestyle that is attracting new visitors. Here the locals go about their daily lives much as they have for centuries, fishing, growing olives or tending to grapes destined for their famous, sweet Malvasia wine. You'll find it very easy to just slip into this leisurely way of life.

Highlights include picking capers, tasting the wine and dipping crusty bread into delicious extra virgin olive oil. Take a day cruise to beautiful Panarea and marvel at Stromboli, Europe's most active volcano. Indulge in Sicily's regional delicacies and wonderful local produce or stay put and pamper yourself at the in-house spa with its natural thermal spring waters.
