HENAN PROVINCE
Henan is home to one the most legendary of China's temples, Shaolin Temple - the birth place of kung fu - and the astounding Longmen Grottoes featuring 2100 carved houses, over 100,000 statues and 3600 stone-tablet inscriptions within its caves.
YANGTZE RIVER
The world's third longest river has amazing rock formations, breathtaking Three Gorges - Qutang, Wu and Xiling - and cultural relics along its shores. Typically embarkation point is the mountainous city of Chongqing, perched high on steep hills. Disembarkation takes place in Yichang, close to the Three Gorges Dam.
YUNNAN PROVINCE
Yunnan Province has 25 different ethnic minorities and a natural beauty of snow-capped mountain ranges, alpine forests, mirrored lakes and rivers, making this a gorgeous and alluring province. The main cities of interest are Dali, Lijiang and Zhongdian. Kunming is the entry point to the province.
SICHUAN PROVINCE
Sichuan is known for its breathtaking scenery and colourful culture as well as its spicy cuisine. Journey out of the city to Leshan where the world's largest seated Buddha awaits.
GUILIN
Guilin lies on the west bank of the Li River and has been an inspiration to poets, artists and writers for centuries. Located only 65 km south of Guilin is the relaxed town of Yangshuo where you can cycle through the rice fields or soak up the atmosphere.
